Olol
On that whim, T. S. Eliot's Hollow Men frigging looks like lyrics of some death metal song, particularly the fifth part.
Here we go round the prickly pear
Prickly pear prickly pear
Here we go round the prickly pear
At five o'clock in the morning.
Between the idea
And the reality
Between the motion
And the act
Falls the Shadow
For Thine is the Kingdom
Between the conception
And the creation
Between the emotion
And the response
Falls the Shadow
Life is very long
Between the desire
And the spasm
Between the potency
And the existence
Between the essence
And the descent
Falls the Shadow
For Thine is the Kingdom
For Thine is
Life is
For Thine is the
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.
POEMS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO REPEAT THE SAME LINE DIRECTLY OVER AND OVER. I can understand each stanza or something to make some wacky point, but honestly I think Toilets was just trying to invent death metal.

Oh right
I really do like writing, but not in that way. No one wants an essay for any reason ever unless you're going to be a professional essay-eer. I know writing skills are important, and I frigging have them. Pulling "meaning" out of my anus and writing about it isn't going to have any significance. I know it shows I'm capable of learning, BUT I'D RATHER CAPE OF LEARNING SCIENCE OR SOMETHING THAT ISN'T STUPID AND ENTIRELY SUBJECTIVE. :[
But anyway I'm doing unusually well in schools this year which is why I've not updated this, along with lack of interest. Due to the second half of the semester rolling around and stuff becoming slightly harder and more time-consumings, I've started wondering about why I'm actually doing it and stuff. As a logical being, I can realize I'd probably be able to blow some of this off and just straggle along like I always have been, but something over the last year has changed and made me give a crap about staying up to date and whatnot. It's all easy, just... time consuming... That's probably part of the reason I have trouble reading books. I have enough vocabularies and reading comprehension and speed that I can do it with minimal effort, problem is it's boring and monotonous. If they could come up with a better form of books, I'd treat it as a much better form of media. I don't really approve of media that you can't multi-task while doing, though. Music, television, even vidya games to some extent are all activities you can do while recieving other input. It's just too much effort and not quite enough rewarding to read stories in book format, when visual and audio formats are easier to recieve and more pleasing. Even stories on the internet, which I read quite a few of, are better than these ridiculous papyrus contraptions... I can have several windows open, and read it while activelyh doing other things, rather than having to completely stop and lose any immersion... Oh well, enough ranting there.
Last couple days I've been feeling a tiny bit depressed and stuff. Don't really know why. I'm assuming it's lonliness, although I can't figure out why. Maybe it's more like my hormones rebelling at me for not being around the ladies enough. Well, actually, I'm almost positive it's that, although I don't really know how to deal with it. I guess I'm around the ladies enough, but I'm just kind of too shy of af person. Plus for some reason my parents are kind of ultra-conservative there even though they're filthy liberals everwhere else... Maybe they aren't, and I'm just convincing myself it as an excuse to remain shy and mostly anti-social. I have to hand it to myself, I'm slowly becoming more and more social, which has been pretty hard for me. Not quit enough to really affect much though. I think I'll probably feel better once I finish this stupid book and the stupid things I have to do with it, so at least I'll have that off my back and I can just zone out the rest of the day. No one wants to hear me whining about this though, and I know I'll come back later and be horribly embarrassed by it. Sorry, future self. I didn't mean tooo :[
So anyway I forgot to tell you guys I raped the SAT. Got a 780 in math and a 730 in the other dumb subjects. Well, grammar's pretty cool. I actually did really well there but my score got knocked down a tad due to the fact 25-minute essays are a horrible idea, even worse than the test itself. At least hardly anyone cares about the grammar score, and I still hit 1500 with the two that do matter, which is a cutoff point for scholarships and stuff I think. I also took the PSAT and I think I did pretty well. Don't know if I got the National Merit thingy or not yet. Regardless, educationally my life's pretty rad, although that may be about the only place I'm fully happy with at the moment.
I actually have started up some artistic endeavors I've been ignoring for a while as well, which is pretty satisfying. Most of them are about video games, which is kind of annoying now. I wish I had a slight b it more creativity... I wrote a fantasy short story once. It was pretty lame, but in retrospet, I should've worked on more in its series or something for nanopoly. Maybe net year, if there IS a next year with our HUSSAIN ASOMA TERRIRIST MASLIM COMMIE SOCIALIST PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sO ANYWAY DANG WHAT WAS i TALKING ABOUT?
bUT NO SERIOUSLY, AS A SCIENCEFAG IT SEEMS A BIT WEIRD WHEN i THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH i NEJOY THE ARTISTICS. i GUESS IT'S LEFTOVER FROM MY NATURAL HUMAN INSTINCTS AND DESIRE TO BE ACCEPTED BY OTHER HUMANS, AS WELL AS FIGURING "HEY THIS IS ABOUT ALL i'M GOOD FOR AT THE MOMENT AS ROBOTS WILL BE REPLACING ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE SOON AND THEN EVENTUALLY THIS BUT BECAUSE i'LL BE A WEIRD MINORITY HUMAN ART MIGHT BE POPULAR BY OUR ROBOT OVERLORDS." Um, I don't remember if I hsad that in quotes or not. I'm writing this lying down and not looking at the screen, which helps me express my thoughts or something better, so don't mind my typos. I should get most of them afer I proofcheckitt or something.
Um.. I'm thirsty. I want a soda. I want a soda. I want a soda. :[ That brings me to another interesting point. Finally I decided to quit being a mysterious faj about my weight and outright admitted to my good internet buddy "The Enemy", that I could probably stand to lose ten, maybe twenty pounds. I still look better than most of you, America. I just hink I could stand to lose a little and then all the ladies will totally talk to me right? :[ I was actually doing pretty well for a while, but then I got a bag of chips and I think all of it reappeared. Stupid metaolism. Oh well. I've sort of put all my social times away for college mentally. Most teenagers seem a bit intellectually infantile to me, so I'm hoping that'll change and I'll have better social times there.
Oh well. I've blogged for a while, and it sort of felt good to ramble like that. Screw you, I'm not spell checking anything. This is "raw" or something. I'll probably flail around trying to find a snack or something and then read this STUPID book and make a STUPID outline for the STUPID thing I have to write about it and then STUPIDLY make an essay and I hate ruining the arts by pretending they're real educational subjects. :[

back
While I was on vacation, I went to Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach. It's the best theme park without super money behind it I've ever been to most probably, and while it's sort of expensive I still recommend it.
Oh and Elite Beat Agents is the best game for the DS. Everyone needs to buy it. Constantly.

Didn't do a whole lot today. Got enough notes to get all the giant ammos in B-K and if I ever get WMM working I'll finish up that LP.

Blooooooog
And even if I wasn't going on a boringish vacation (again, Hard Rock Park makes it hard for me to be completely bitter) as if I don't spend enough time constantly doing everything with my entire family, Lettuce Playing is rather impossible right now, no matter how much I'd like to, because to put it nicely Windows Movie Maker is frigging terrible. OH BOO HOO HOO, I CANT IMPORT .AVIS! YOU SHULD CHEK THE BOX IN TE OPTIONS DAT SAYS "OTTOMATICLY FIND CODEK", EVEN THOUGH THERES NOTHING THAT REMOTELY RESEMBLES THAT IN THE OPTIONS AND I'VE FRIGGING GOOGLED AND SEARCHED MICROSOFT.COM FOR EVERYTING I COULD THINK OF AND IT WON'T WORK. It's always had a problem with .avis for me, so I was using .mov. However, because my the WMM that came with my computer was quite literally freezing up every third time I tried to do something in it, I decided to replace it with a newer version, which just completely denies the existence of .movs. I can't find the old version to redownload, and aughhh if it wasn't so confusing and I didn't want Nuts and Bolts so badly I would just buy Adobe Premiere.
Other than that, not much happening to me lately. SMRPG came out in PALland or something, so that's pretty cool I guess. Nintendo's done sort of a bad job at "providing any games that aren't terrible online lately". The two (first party and therefore should've been uploaded quickly) SNES games I want, Kirby Superstar and Mario Paint, are nowhere in sight. I can understand KSS, due to Ultra coming out soon, but WHERE IS MY MARIO PAINT? :[ I know of course that it's because Nintendo realized they can make much simpler games and make a lot more money and it would just be a waste of time for them to do something like make the SNES Mouse work with the motion controls, but it's still annoying.
The Virtual Console isn't as bad, and if I had money I would get Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, as well as a few others, but if I had money I would get a lot of things. Other than that, the only thing for it I really want that I know of is Wario Land Shake It. Import Captain Rainbow friggin Nintendo. Stupid America. Being too stupid and dumb to like any of the games I really want imported, like that and Tingle's Rose-Coloured Rupee Land.
Anyway yeah I hate everything bye :3

Sup guys
Anyway, while I was waiting for my mom to finish dentisting and forgot to bring anything at all to do, I realized that I could make a decent YTP out of Someone Get My Teeth Back. If you do not know what that is you should probably get off my internets. :[
Oh and yesterday while browsing the internets I realized that the diminuative store of horrors musical is probably the best thing ever. I'm not sure if I'm actually going to do it, but putting Someone Get My Teeth Back over the video of Feed Me (Git it) would be pretty great if you synced everything up right. At the moment I'm limited to GAYdows GAYvie GAYker so I'm not really in a position to sync anything at all ever, although I am downloading the trial of Adobe Premiere Elephants. I hope that it has video capture, because if it does it would be my ideal program as I'm having lots of trouble finding a good one. I know the full version said it did, but the full version is like $700 because it's for people who want to make semi-professional movies and they have too much money.
Oh and also for some reason the Homebrew Channel sort of borked, so there goes the Wii being any fun. :[ I'm gonna try to reinstall it at some point, but it's kind of complicated to do.
Also I have to try to work on my summer reading while taking notes and study for my online math class tonight which is probably too advanced for me. Fun times.

Bit of a change of plan
I still wanna do a Sonic game though. Right now I'm thinking Sonic Adventure DX or maybe one of the old ones I have for Mega Collection or Gems. If you have any suggestions, feel free to tell me them.
Shenanigans on YouTube
I'm sort of done with Let's Play Banjo-Kazooie (I sort of got stuck on the Grunty fight, I'll upload that eventually), and like I said I'm planning on Let's Play Shadow the Hedgehog, as that should be considerably quicker than the Banjo games. I imagine that'll be the only one I'll have time for before school starts and I quit uploading like 10 videos a day, but after that I plan on doing Pikmin and maybe Pikmin 2. If you have any suggestions, feel free to tell me. I'll probably make some video asking for suggestions anyway.

An actual blog post
I'm doing a bunch of stuff this weekend. On Saturday I'll hopefully be going to the Reinaissance Festival, which is always pretty great, and on Sunday I'm leaving for North Carolina for the last week of my summer. Then for the first while of school I'm just going to be doing college classes and an AP class and studying for the SAT and then I'll eventually try to get a driver's lisence and aaa I'll talk about my too many things to do later. :[
But anyway for the rest of today I plan on reading some stuff for my upcoming classes and making a bunch of YouTube videos and maybe starting a Let's Play of Shadow the Hedgehog.

Super Mario Galaxy is a Platformer
I just realized why I was so disappointed by Super Mario Galaxy. I was comparing it to Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, both of which were excellent Adventure/Platformer games. My problem with Galaxy is that they just completely removed the Adventure part, which has always been one of my favorite genres. After watching a bunch of Super Mario World videos, it finally occurred to me. It's too linear because it's a pure platformer. (And yes, I know everything considers it, 64, and Sunshine platformers, but I've always called them adventure games.)
The hub world is ridiculously simple, and there is absolutely no exploring to be done. Ignoring the lack of complexity, there is absolutely no thought in getting access to the secret levels, except maybe the green stars, which happened to be my favorite part of the game. However, in Super Mario 64, you had to go into well-hidden places to find the secret stars and in Super Mario Sunshine several were obtained by doing bizarre things that required thorougly exploring Isle Delfino, like being thrown into a tower by a random Pianta on a roof. In Super Mario Galaxy, there are Hungry Lumas everywhere in the Observatory. The only secret stars there that don't obviously stand out are in the small planet you need to get with the green star launcher, which is still rather self-explanitory, even though I do appreciate how well some of the green stars are hidden.
The levels themselves are nothing compared to SM64/SMS'. I will admit I like the design for a lot of them, but there's really not much to do. In an odd few, like the Honeyhive and Freezeflame Galaxies, you can do a little bit of exploring, but there's scarcely anything that you get for doing so. The majority of the levels are a straightforward path to the exit with a few puzzles along the way, and occasionally secret exits if you stray off the beaten path. To be honest, it reminds me a lot of the Ghost Houses in Super Mario World, as they had more puzzles than pure platforming like SMG, and the secret stars are a lot like the secret exits, not exactly well hidden in most cases so much as going a different route.
Staples of 3D Mario games are the power-ups, which Galaxy certainly didn't forget about. However, these were also done in a very simplistic fashion. Where both SM64 and SMS opened up the power ups in all the levels and allowed you to get otherwise inaccessable stars, SMG's seemed like a bit of an afterthought. They were used in the level that introduced them, then mostly forgotten, used again in maybe one or two extra galaxies. The only power up you "unlocked" was the Red Star, which I do very much like, but the only things it did were allow you to clear the challenge to unlock it and then gain maybe 3 1-ups you couldn't before in the Observatory. Excluding the Comets which appeared at random, there was not a single level you could not enter and immediately get all the stars in before doing anything else. While this is fine, and avoids things getting annoying *coughBANJOTOOIEcough*, it really makes the game seem a lot more like a platformer than an adventure game like its predecessors.
Overall, I think the reason I'm disappointed with Galaxy is because I'm holding it to an unfair standard. Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine were vastly different games, with not nearly as many platforming elements and a lot more freedom. As a platformer, a category it fits much better in, I actually do enjoy the game a lot. It's not quite as good as say, Super Mario World, which I consider the best Mario platformer, if not the best platforming game overall, but it is still a good game, just not the same as 64 and Sunshine.
Regardless, it's still way overrated.

300
- I don't get why they randomly added sex scenes. Well, I get why. It's because America is something of a child that goes HEE HEE NUDITY.
- I wish I had sawblade hands. But seriously, I don't get why they added a bunch of not existing monster deals like that giant the Immortal had (they might've had it in the novel and I missed it though) and that one guy with a donkey head in Xerxes' throne room, although I might've just misseen that or something.
- I like how "This is Sparta." got turned into THIS IS SPARTA and caused a meme that instantly suicided by being liked by too many people, like O RLY and stuff.
- Why didn't several more Spartans throw spears at Xerxes when they were like OH CRAP SUICIDE? I think losing the guy who enslaved them and confused them into thinking he was a god would somewhat damage the Persian army.
- tunit we din in hel! xd
